Household waste must be in containers or in bags not exceeding forty (40) gallons or forty (40) pounds placed at the curbside by 7:00 a.m.

Tree & Yard Waste Collection Guidelines

Tree and yard waste must be in containers or in bags not exceeding forty (40) gallons or forty (40) pounds at each residents curb by 7:00 a.m. Tree, shrubs, & brush trimmings must be cut in lengths not to exceed four (4) feet & no greater than three (3) inches in diameter, securely tied in bundles.

Bulk/Heavy Trash Collection Guidelines

Bulk items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. Limit of two (2) items.

Accepted Heavy Trash Items
  • Household Appliances (Refrigerators must have freon drained and be tagged accordingly by certified technician.)
  • Hot Water Heaters must be drained.
  • Furniture
  • Grills must be emptied of ash or briquettes.
  • No propane tanks.

Please do not park vehicles in the streets of cul-de-sacs on service days.

Note: If the scheduled collection day falls on any observed holiday, the collection may be suspended and service will resume the following day.

Recycling Collection

Household recycling must be placed at the curbside by 7:00 A.M. every Monday. GFL will collect residential recyclables located curbside in the sixty-five (65) gallon carts. Current items being collected are paper including newspaper, magazines, phone books, catalogs, junk mail, envelopes, file folders, computer paper, construction paper, colored paper, corrugated cardboard boxes (flattened and bundled) cereal and soda/beer boxes, gift boxes, wrapping paper; containers including aluminum cans, aluminum foil, plastic bottles/jugs/buckets #1 through #7. Excluded Items are: Styrofoam; Glass Bottles or Jars, metal pots and pans; scrap metal like nails; screws; gutters; and copper. In the event that the market price for any one (1) or all of the commodities designated to be collected drop to the point that such materials can no longer be sold or processed, GFL will remove that item(s) from the list of those items to be recycled and notify the residents.
