Bond and Maintenance Tax Election

The District’s next Bond and Maintenance Tax Election is scheduled to be held on May 2nd, 2026, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.

Early voting will take place from April 20th to April 28th.

Clovercreek Municipal Utility District is holding a bond authorization and maintenance tax election. The MUD has identified certain aging and deteriorating facilities that require repair, rehabilitation, or replacement. The purpose of this election is to consider authorizing the issuance of bonds and increasing the maximum tax rate that the MUD is authorized to levy.

  • Early Voting is April 20-April 28
    • April 20 – 25: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
      (Polling closed April 21st / Cerrado el 21 de abril)
    • April 27 – 28: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Election Day is Saturday, May 2
    • 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The next election for the District will be held on May 1, 2027.

To be qualified to serve as a director, a person shall be at least 18 years old, a resident citizen of the State of Texas, and either own land subject to taxation in the District or be qualified voter within the District.

Director candidacy filing requirements and deadlines are as follows:

To run for election to the District’s Board of Directors, a person must file an application for a place on the ballot. An application may be downloaded/printed from the website of the Texas Secretary of State at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/2-49f.pdf.

  • Texas Ethics Commission – Forms and Instructions
  • First day to file for place on the May 1, 2027, general election ballot is Wednesday, January 13, 2027.
  • Last day to file for place on the May 1, 2027, general election ballot is by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 12, 2027.
  • A person may run for election to the District’s Board of Directors as a write-in candidate and to do so must file a declaration of write-in candidacy. The declaration must be filed with the District’s attorney by mail, email or in person. A declaration form may be downloaded/printed from the website of the Texas Secretary of State at https://www.sos.state.tx.us/elections/forms/pol-sub/2-11f.pdf.
  • Deadline to file write-in candidacy declaration for the May 1, 2027, general election is by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2027.
